Southern Palms Beach Club & Resort Hotel is located on Dover Beach in the Barbados entertainment district towards the end of St. Lawrence Gap. The “Gap,” as it’s known, is filled with an abundance of restaurants, bars, and nightlife destinations – many of which are just steps from our resort.
Attractions near our hotel include the Oistins Fish Market, the Barbados Museum, and historic Bridgetown. Dover Beach is also an active nesting ground for the endangered Hawksbill Turtle and the occasional Leatherback Turtle. A nesting or hatching is a "must-see" between May and December.
Bridgetown is the capital of Barbados and is approximately a 15 minute drive from the hotel 6.4 km. Duty free shopping, jewellery stores and many fashion stores
St. Lawrence Gap
St. Lawrence gap is located on the south coast and is one of the main hubs for nightlife and restaurants on the island.
The second largest town and located north of the island and is home to small selection of shops, restaurants and street vendors.
St. Nicholas Abby and Steam Railway
Located in the parish of St. Peter. The abbey is made up of a sugar plantation house, rum distillery and museum.

George Washington House and Tunnels

Considered one of the best beaches for a family day. The calm shallow waters at the southern end make it safe for the young ones to play whilst the older children have the choice to boogie board in the larger waves further up the bay.
Considered one of the best beaches for snorkeling Carlisle Bay has an abundance of marine life and shipwrecks to explore it is considered a must see when on island.
