You will need to make a few arrangements if you would like to get married in Barbados. You will need to apply for a marriage license from the Ministry of Home Affairs. The application can be made any time after you arrive in Barbados. Your wedding may take place any time after the license has been issued and is valid for 3 months. License is usually issued at time of application.
A license fee of US$ 100.00 and stamp duty of US$ 12.50 is payable with your application. The Wedding Ceremony fee by local Minister is US $175.00.

We will provide complimentary:
Assistance with wedding details, decorated venue, small wedding cake, 1 bottle of sparkling wine

For catholic weddings a notice must be given of approximately three months and arrangements are made with your own parish priest, who will notify the Bishop of Barbados.

Documents Required By Authorities:

• Passport & birth certificate
• If any of the parties are divorced, proof of Decree Absolute is required.
• In case of widow/widower, the marriage certificate & a death certificate is required.
• If change of name, other than by marriage, proof is required.
• Documents must be originals or certified copies.
